Dns Lock will prevent changes to your preferred DNS servers in Windows.
Sometimes your DNS can be changed by applications (sometimes malicious) which can cause errors and other annoyances, or can make browsing the web impossible. If you need to keep DNS settings the same you can use this tool to make sure your DNS settings in Windows stay constant.
