IncrediMail Message Extractor can extract e-mails from IMH and IMM format files used by IncrediMail, and save them as EML files.
That way, the EML can serve as a backup that also happens to be supported by Outlook Express and plenty of other clients.
Alternatively, you can easily convert the EML to another format.
