XProtect can encrypt and decrypt files, and also put all of your files in an encrypted executable you can carry around with you.
With the normal method, you encrypt files using a given password. You can choose to encrypt all of your files and save them as just one encrypted container, or encrypt "each file" separately.
The portable method saves all of the encrypted files into one executable file you can carry around and decrypt at any time.
