Windows 10 Update Switch is a tool that lets you enable or disable updates in Windows 10, as well as setting certain connection types as metered.
Microsoft has made it difficult to disable updates in Windows 10 as it tries to keep its flagship Desktop OS as secure as possible. Some users don''''t like losing control over how their system operates and so prefer to keep automatic updates off and handle things manually to the degree that they can.
It makes it easy to disable Windows 10 updates, and to prevent Windows from turning them back on.
Additionally, this tool also lets you select connections other than Wi-Fi as metered (including ethernet, 3g and 4g). Connections set as metered will not be used to download Windows Updates.
