Free2X Sound Recorder is a free tool that can record audio from your PC, including from a microphone, a mp3 file, CD player, radio, TV, or anything you can plug into your sound card.
You can save the output audio files as MP3, OGG, WMA or WAV. You can use the system-wide hot keys to allow keyboard control over recording while working in other programs.
You can also schedule the tool to record from a selected source as a predefined time.
All in all, it's a very useful little app.
